Blood Tests – by appointment only

If you are requested to have a blood test, there are a number of clinics held during the week run by our health care assistant, including an early morning clinic for those needing a fasting blood test.

Blood Pressure – by appointment only

Regular blood pressure clinics are run for simple blood pressure checks. Please ask at reception for further details.

Smear Tests - by appointment only

Smear clinics are offered at various times during the week. Alternatively, you can book an appointment with our nurse. Please inform the receptionist of the reason for the appointment.

Asthma - by appointment only

Patients with asthma are advised to attend for regular annual review to optimise their treatment, or more frequently to monitor the effectiveness of treatment. This is run by Nurse Sarah Nicholls

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) - by appointment only

To monitor the effects of treatment for those diagnosed with COPD.

Minor Surgery - by referral and appointment only

We perform joint injections and various minor operations under local anaesthetic.

Controlled Drug Worker

We have controlled drug worker on every Tuesday morning .Please contact the reception for the details.

Weight Management Clinic

12 weekly one to one appointments will help you to identify easy and practical lifestyle changes you could make to help you to lose weight and keep it off.

Baby & Immunisation Clinic

Routine children’s immunisations are done in the surgery by the practice nurse with a prior appointment on Monday and Tuesday. Given below is the recommended vaccination schedule to be followed for the childhood immunisations .Prior to the 1st immunisation the baby should have the 6-8weeks check up done by the doctor which can be arranged at the surgery. Please contact the reception to book an appointment.

Diabetic Clinic

All diabetics can better manage their condition with the aid of regular review with a specialist nurse. Review intervals will vary between a few weeks to 12 months, depending on clinical need. Blood tests, chiropody and dietary advice are provided by nurses trained in this area. We would encourage anyone with diabetes to take advantage of this service in the management of their condition and for further information or advice, please contact the reception.

The practice runs a regular diabetic clinic on every Monday from 4PM to 7PM by a specialist Diabetic Nurse who has vast experience in this speciality to give organised routine check ups for diabetes. Please contact the reception to book an appointment for the diabetic clinic.

Chlamydia Screening

Both men and women need to look after their sexual health and take time to understand the issues that surround contraception and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

For instance there are some STIs, like Chlamydia, that you could be carrying without having any symptoms. This infection can affect fertility, so it's important to make use of the sexual health services available for free on the NHS. Please contact the reception for further details.
